Private duty nursing is how families keep someone home who, a generation ago, would have been in a long-term facility. Trach care, infusions, complex wound care, post-operative recovery, these are nursing interventions, and they belong in the hands of a nurse.

Our nurses build a plan around the physician's orders and the family's actual hours. We coordinate with hospital discharge teams, pharmacies, DME suppliers, and specialists so nothing slips through a gap between providers. Shifts are staffed for continuity; the family is not re-meeting a new nurse every week.

Coverage and payment options vary by state, plan, eligibility, and authorization. Private duty, skilled nursing, and intermittent visits may be covered by Medicaid, long-term care insurance, or other payment options depending on the circumstances; rehabilitative care may be addressed separately. Yes, private duty nursing can be arranged for scheduled shifts or continuous 24/7 coverage, depending on the clinical assessment and physician orders. Your care coordinator confirms staffing and start dates during intake.

Skilled nursing is provided under a plan of care and, where required, physician orders. Our nursing team reviews the orders and the home setup, then explains what can be provided and how supervision works before care begins.
